children get older, i’m getting older too

Thus far I’ve spent my day clearing out my room and sorting what books, DVDs and CDs to sell.  All of it’s quite revealing of my childhood and adolescence, but particularly the CDs:

  • Laundry Service, Shakira
  • Dangerously in Love, Beyoncé
  • the soundtrack of Austin Powers in Goldmember
  • the Capitol Steps, Between Iraq and a Hard Place
  • John Mayer’s first three albums (as I plan to never voluntarily consume his music ever again)
  • M2M’s The Big Room and Shades of Purple
  • Britney Spears’ first three albums
  • all four U.S. albums by NSYNC, including the Christmas one
  • Michelle Branch, The Spirit Room
  • Brian Setzer Orchestra, The Dirty Boogie
  • Jamie Cullum, Twentysomething
  • A*Teens, The ABBA Generation
  • a two-track EP by a pop-punk band called Dropping Daylight
  • M!ssundaztood, Pink
  • All Killer No Filler, Sum 41
  • Straight Outta Lynwood, Weird Al Yankovic
  • the soundtrack to Josie and the Pussycats
  • a pop compilation titled Platinum Christmas
  • Simple Plan, No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls
  • Inkas Wasi (Peruvian instrumental music)
  • Avril Lavigne, Let Go and Under My Skin
  • Jason Mraz, Waiting for My Rocket to Come
  • the soundtrack to A Walk to Remember (featuring Mandy Moore and Switchfoot, oh my)
  • Ready Set Go, Simon and Milo
  • It Was All a Dream, Dream (remember them?  remember that one song?)
  • Music for Dummies, Big Japan (better known as the band Adam Brody drummed for)
  • Sleepwalk’s self-titled album (heavy metal)
  • Now 6, 7, and 17
  • the soundtrack to the first Scooby-Doo movie
  • the soundtrack to Spider-Man 2
  • Black Eyed Peas, Elephunk
  • LFO’s self-titled debut
  • Classic Disney, Volume 1
  • Lucy Woodward, While You Can
  • the movie soundtrack of Rent
  • The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Don’t You Fake It
  • Christina Aguilera’s self-titled debut

I’m just sayin’, these are headed for Craigslist and a yard sale in my driveway.  Comment if you want any and I’ll put them aside, mail them to you, etc.
